How to share your Search Console data safely

Sponsors want proof. You want to keep control. You can have both.

The short answer

Search Console has three permission levels: Owner (full control, including adding users), Full user (view all data and take some actions) and Restricted user (simple view rights on most data). To let someone see your numbers, add them as a Restricted user under Settings › Users and permissions; only owners can add users. Or connect a service that reads the data read-only, so you never hand anyone access to the account itself.

Permission levels

LevelWhat they can do
OwnerFull control: add and remove users, configure settings, view all data, use all tools
Full userView all data and take some actions
Restricted userSimple view rights on most data

Adding a user

  1. Open SettingsIn your property, go to Settings › Users and permissions.
  2. Add userEnter their Google Account email. Groups can't be added.
  3. Pick the lowest level that worksRestricted user is enough to see the numbers.
  4. Remove them afterAccess doesn't expire on its own.

A better way for sponsorships

Adding every interested sponsor to your account doesn't scale. On AdSworn you connect Google once, read-only; we read the figures and show them on your listing with the source and date. Nothing about your site is public until you publish, and you choose which searches to hide.

  1. Publisher connects GoogleRead-only sign-in to Search Console (and Analytics if they use it). No passwords shared.
  2. AdSworn reads the numbersClicks from Google, the searches behind each page and page views. For this page: 24 clicks from Google in 28 days.
  3. Buyers see the proofEvery figure shows its source and the day it was read (30 Sep 2026 for this site).
