Facts checked 29 Sep 2026 · by the AdSworn team

The short answer

Mediavine is a full-service ad management company: it takes over your programmatic ads, needs $5,000+ in annual ad revenue for its main programme, and, for sites launched after 1 January 2026, pays 75% to 90% depending on annual earnings. AdSworn sells direct sponsorships: one page, one sponsor, your price, 85% to you. Mediavine allows directly sold and sponsored work alongside its ads, so the two can work together.

What Mediavine does

Mediavine is a full-service ad management company. It takes full control of a site's programmatic advertising, optimises layouts, and works on page speed (it offers settings to optimise for Core Web Vitals). In return it asks for exclusivity over programmatic ads, a 90-day initial term, then month-to-month with 30 days' notice.

Since January 2026, the main programme asks for $5,000+ in annual ad revenue instead of a sessions count. Smaller sites can join Journey by Mediavine, which needs 1,000+ sessions from the US, Canada, UK or Australia in 30 days.

Using both

Mediavine's exclusivity covers programmatic advertising. Its help centre says affiliate, sponsored or brand work, and directly sold ads, are still allowed. That's exactly what AdSworn sells: a direct sponsorship on a page you choose. Before adding any new ad placement, check it against your Mediavine agreement.
