How to track a sponsored post's results with UTM tags
Don't rely only on the publisher's report. Tag your link and see the results in your own analytics.

Add UTM parameters to the link in your ad: utm_source for the site (for example, flocksy), utm_medium for the channel (for example, banner or sponsored), and utm_campaign for the promotion (for example, spring_sale); utm_content can tell two ads apart. Google Analytics then shows the visits and conversions from each sponsorship. Google's Campaign URL Builder creates the link for you.
The parameters
| Parameter | Google's description | For a sponsorship |
|---|---|---|
| utm_source | Referrer, for example: google, newsletter4, billboard | The site, e.g. flocksy |
| utm_medium | Marketing medium, for example: cpc, banner, email | banner or sponsored |
| utm_campaign | Product, slogan, promo code, for example: spring_sale | Your promotion |
| utm_content | Use to differentiate creatives | Headline A vs headline B |

Two sets of numbers
Your analytics shows what happened after the click: visits, sign-ups, sales. AdSworn's delivery report shows what happened on the page: how many times your ad was seen and clicked, counted by AdSworn. Together they give you the full picture, and the proof to book again.
